Double click on the installer program titled "TabletWorks Installer" and click on the "Install" button. The installer will remove any previous version of CalComp and DrawingSlate software on the target system, as well as install the new TabletWorks v5.0 control panel.
Current DrawingSlate Users Upgrading to an UltraSlate
-------------------------------------------------
Do not attempt to use an UltraSlate with the CalComp Driver software older than version 3.0, otherwise software crashes will occur. Please install TabletWorks v5.0 before connecting the UltraSlate tablet to your Macintosh.
Fumble Free Eraser Support
------------------------
Instructions for the "Fumble Free Eraser" feature are contained in the "Read Me" files located in each of the folders for Painter 3.1, Painter 4.0/5.0, and PhotoShop.
Notes
-----
The "Factory Settings" button in the TabletWorks Control Panel will reset all of the settings in the entire TabletWorks Control Panel.
When using Fractal Design's (now MetaCreations) Painter™, Dabbler™, Art Dabbler™, or Detailer™, the tablet should be placed into tablet (or absolute) mode. It is not recommended to user any of these applications in mouse (or relative) mode.
Known Problems
---------------
If the "DrawingSlate II Product Line" checkbox in the Settings Panel is unchecked, as it should be for DrawingSlate and DrawingBoard II models, the 4x5 DrawingSlate II tablet macros will not be aligned properly. The checkbox should be checked for the DrawingSlate II product line.
If the "DrawingSlate II Product Line" checkbox in the Settings Panel is unchecked, a user-defined tablet area may be lost during a restart. If this problem occurs, try enabling the DrawingSlate II checkbox in the Settings Panel, even if your tablet is not a DrawingSlate II.
Please note that this checkbox will not be available if an UltraSlate tablet is in use.
